Getting to Know Me

PICT6023a
Remember when I did this handwriting game last year? Well, my friend Meg (with my in the picture above!) tagged me to participate in another chain-style game and I thought it would be fun to do one again.

There are six rules.
1. Post these rules.
2. Post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post (i.e., Meg's for me).
4. Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. Go to their blog and tell them you've tagged them.
6. No saying, "If you are reading this, you're tagged."

11 random things about me.
1. My hair is naturally very curly.
2. I talk to both of my parents at least twice a week. Each.
3. I change into sweatpants or pajamas as soon as I get home every day.
4. My worst fear is sharks. In fact, I have a horrible phobia of bodies of water bigger than my bathtub due to a traumatic trip to SeaWorld when I was young.
5. If I didn't live with Jordan, my whole house would be decorated in pink, white, and floral prints. And I'd have a lot of cats. Basically, just shy of becoming Mrs. Umbridge.
6. We had to buy an extra bookshelf last weekend to hold all of our books (which are mostly all my books).
7. When I was 17, a friend and I got separated from our tour group and got lost in Barcelona for a few hours.
8. Also when I was 17, the hotel bathroom flooded while I was showering and the front desk man yelled at my in angry Spanish for a very long time (even though it absolutely wasn't my fault!)
9. Oh, and that same trip, some other friends and I got lost in the gardens at Versailles. We ended up wandering through a nearby building and had to walk all the way back up the main road for 20 minutes just to get back.
10. I didn't learn how to cook until I was 20.
11. When I lived in Oregon, I once drove to the coast at midnight with a couple of friends, just to run around in the freezing cold water. We ended up staying on the beach until sunrise, then we went to a little diner for breakfast before driving back to our dorms.

Meg's questions for me.
1. Are you a cat or a dog person? Cat, clearly.
2. Who is your dream date? Nick Carter. KTBSPA.
3. What is your favorite food? Potatoes in any form. French fries, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes...
4. What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher. But according to a picture Meg sent me from our kindergarten class, I wanted to be a pilot and a magician.
5. When was your first kiss? Freshman year of high school. It was terrible.
6. What is the craziest thing you have ever done? Taking a very poorly planned road trip to Washington and Oregon (from Montana) with a friend, sleeping on floors and couches, seeing absolutely everything we wanted to see, and ending up driving the 15 hours back home overnight.
7. What makes you mad? When people say they'll do something by a certain day or time, then don't. If you know you won't follow through, or you know you won't have time, then just tell me that to start with so I'm not waiting around.
8. If you could only keep one article of clothing and had to replace the rest with new stuff (What Not to Wear style), what would you keep? I'd keep a vintage Montana State University sweatshirt that was my mom's when she went to college there. I wear it all the time.
9. What is your guilty pleasure? Watching Grey's Anatomy (or Downton Abbey, lately) when I should be studying!
10. What is the best/worst present you have ever received? Best: my MacBook Pro from Jordan on my last birthday. Worst: a Kmart bag with a spatula from my ex inside because "he knew I really liked to cook." Oh, and that was my entire Christmas present from him. Clearly, that wasn't meant to be.
11. The Spice Girls decide they need you to join them on tour, what "spice" are you? Kitty Spice? Definitely Kitty Spice.

My questions for the friends I tag.
1. What color are your nails painted?
2. What is your worst fear?
3. Who is your favorite celebrity?
4. What was the first concert you ever went to?
5. What word or phrase do you over-use?
6. If you could only wear one color for the rest of your life, what would it be?
7. What was your favorite book in elementary school?
8. What's your favorite season?
9. Favorite Disney movie of all time?
10. Who is your least favorite reality TV star?
11. Which US president had the funniest last name?

I'm tagging Lauren, Alison, Jenni, Anna, and Kristie.

I laughed out loud at the umbridge comment.

Yay, I'll start working on mine. :))

Girl, if you *ever* compare yourself - even in the slightest - to Mrs. Umbridge, I may have to kick your butt. Just sayin'. ;)

Also, I'm 22 and still can't cook. :(

And OMG, Kitty Spice!!! <3 that.

P.S. I tagged you for this meme, as well, however mine were all literature related. ;)

Love Potatoes, but I live in Idaho, I think that is mandatory. I would really love the Mac Pro, awesome. My favorite so far was my Kindle. LOVE IT. My wish list includes a Nikon D3100. Crossing my fingers....

Thanks for tagging me! I'll get on that today! And also, when I was in 3rd grade my older sister nicknamed me "kitty litter spice." Haha. Not as cute as kitty spice, but what do you expect from a big sister? Haha.

Kristie February 24, 2012

It's up!
