wedding planning: inspiration board

I've spent the past week doing nonstop wedding planning. A couple days ago, I realized that we're getting married in five months! The big details, like venue and photographer, were already figured out not long after we got engaged, so now it's just down to nailing down the rest of the details. Also, finally, I'm getting a chance to plan decorations and fun details like that!

Since the wedding is getting closer, I wanted to share some of what I've been working on. We'll be getting married in Bozeman (my hometown). Since we're getting married at Rocky Creek Farm, of course the wedding will have a somewhat rustic feel. I also love vintage detailing, like floral prints and lace, so I'll be incorporating a lot of that too. Here are some inspiration photos I've found on Pinterest recently.

1. Strings of accent lighting and lamps, especially since we're having an outdoor wedding.
2. Vintage glassware on the tables to hold wildflowers.
3. A handmade sign directing guests.
4. Gray suits for the men. Seeing Jordan in a tux always seems slightly odd to me, and a suit fits his personality and taste much better.
5. Colorful striped straws, of course. We definitely want a bit of whimsy on our special day.
6. More glassware on the tables. We'll be leaning more towards assorted finds, and trying to veer away from over-doing the mason jar trend.
7. Floral dresses for the bridesmaids? I'm still completely undecided on what I want my besties to wear, but I do think I want them in assorted dresses, not all in the same style or specific color.

Of course, if you have any recommendations about planning a wedding, especially an outdoor one, I'd love to hear them!

I got married outside. We got married in the garden of a 1800s historic mansion. The cocktail hour was outside and the reception indoors. The garden had flowers and was really green, so we didn't have to purchase flowers for the outdoors. My hubby and his groomsmen wore Calvin Klein grey tuxes from Men's Wearhouse. Love the grey... it is perfect for an outdoor wedding!

Love grey suits! So much less stiff than tuxes. When we got married in October, my man wore a suit jacket with jeans...not traditional, but he looked great & it suited his style perfectly!

Your choices are great!. I love the uniqueness! You don't need any help in ideas- go for it.

I did an outdoor wedding on what happened to be the hottest day of the year here in Salt Lake in July 2010. I did a rustic/floral type theme too! I can't tell you how many hours I spent on it. But you already know! Haha. Definitely check out oncewed.com if you haven't already.

Here's what my wedding looked like if you're interested. We pretty much made everything, including the photo booth ourselves.
