Rather than making a playlist today, I'm sharing my favorite summer album instead. John Mayer's Born and Raised
is by far my favorite album of this entire year. I've listed to the full cd at least once a week, as well as pretty much nonstop on my constant trips home to Montana for wedding planning.As hard as I've tried, I just can't pick a single favorite song from this album. Some of my many favorites are Age of Worry, Speak for Me, Walt Grace's Submarine Test, and Whiskey Whiskey Whiskey. (I even loved the cd this much before I met him and found out he's super nice!) Plus, how gorgeous is the cover art? I really enjoy all of the little details about it.

ReplyDeleteI adore this album. I have the LP framed and hanging in my home office/library. Leave it to Mayer to not only produce an amazing album, but present it with a beautiful piece of artwork.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I don't pick whole cds just to sit and listen to. I have this one several times this summer, though. Then again, I can do that with anything of his.
