Caribou County Fair

food stands

The county fair is happening this week. Living in a town this small means that I'm pretty excited for any event that happens, including driving 15 miles to the next town to go to the fair. So on Tuesday, my friend Faith and I did just that.

We browsed the craft booths and found some interesting things. Approximately one million rings at one booth, I'd say. (Kidding, it probably wasn't a million. Probably.) We also found "Cow Herd Starter Kits" and creepy/cute yarn dogs. Fun fact from that booth: the lady who made the yarn dogs yelled at me for taking pictures until she realized it was just for my blog. We think she though I was going to steal her yarn dog design or something. I mean, it's tempting to make a whole herd of them and surprise Jordan someday, but I probably won't.

creepy or cute?

Once we got too warm, we decided to grab some tacos and shaved ice and sit in the shade of the stands while we watched kids riding horses in the arena. All in all, it was a pretty great day in my small town life!

  6. Ha! That'd be pretty funny… a whole herd of those yarn dogs. That might be kind of frightening… in a funny sort of way. ;)
