Today was one of those days that makes me love living in a small town. Although I like my weekdays in Pocatello for school, I love coming home to Soda Springs every weekend.
My friend, Sheri, owns a coffee shop on Main Street. She's the same woman I mentioned a few months ago, who founded the animal shelter here. Her coffee shop just isn't getting the traffic it needs for her to be busy, so I'm helping her out.
This week I made a Facebook page for her shop, and then tomorrow I'm heading over to help her with window displays. I used to be in charge of weekly window displays when I worked in Bozeman, so it'll be fun to help Sheri with hers.
I'm also going to photograph her store tomorrow. That way people who see her Facebook page will know what the shop looks like before they even come in. Seeing menus on FB pages always makes me feel like companies go out of their way to be helpful to potential customers, so I'm excited to do the same with Cup Cup and Away.
Also, this is not business-related, but every time I visit Sheri, she tells me to make whatever I want. I loved my days of being a barista. Getting behind the counter to make myself a latte always makes me feel nostalgic. (That's me in the picture!)

Cup Cup and Away is such an adorable name for a coffee shop. I've always wanted to be a barista, or at least own some of the fancy equipment at coffee shops. I hope Cup Cup and Away will soon get the attention it deserves!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Becky! =) That IS a great name! And you are such a great friend for helping her out that way! I would definitely stop by if I lived in the area, but sadly I am all the way out in California. =( Hope her shop gets plenty more visitors!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a nice friend! And one of many talents! I've always wanted to learn to make real coffee, and Cup Cup and Away is the best coffee shop name!
ReplyDeleteYou are SUCH an awesome person!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, more people should have friends like you. That's totally a wonderful thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to come visit now!
ReplyDeletePS: Any word on that trip to Boise for a BSU game? ;)
I grew up in a small town, work in one, just visited one in Oregon, but live in a sweet-but-still-not-small-enough suburb. Someday I will find myself a small-town girl again, I'm sure of it. Sheri sounds like a wonderful woman. :)
ReplyDeleteMore people like you need to exist. The shop sounds fun and cozy.
