What color lipstick do you wear?

My favorite red is Maybelline’s Royal Red (like I wore on Thanksgiving). The rich pink/red that I often wear is Revlon’s Cherries In The Snow (like in this post). And lately I’ve been loving Revlon’s Bitten lipstain in Passion (like here).

How long have you and Jordan been together?

Over 3 years; we started dating November 11, 2007.

How did you and Jordan meet?

Through mutual friends.

I know you use a free template and then you edit it by yourself, where did you learn about how to do that editing thingy?

A lot of trial and error! The truth is, I’m really picky, so I end up liking to do everything myself. So I found a layout that had the basic structure I was looking for (3 columns, good coding that was fairly easy to edit), then I changed everything else about it. Whenever I decided on something else I wanted to change, if I didn’t know how to do it already, I just googled “how to _____”. Since I’ve been doing this for a couple of years, a lot of it is pretty easy to me now.

What kind of camera do you use?

I use a Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D. Sadly, they aren’t made anymore because Sony bought them, but I’ve heard that the Sony Alpha is a comparable camera. However, if I was going to buy a new camera, I’d buy a Canon or Nikon because I’ve heard better things about them than Sony. I can’t say enough about my Konica, though!

How do you edit your photos?

I’m super cheap, so I don’t have any fancy editing software! I use GIMP, it’s an open source photo editing program that is kind of similar to Photoshop. And to get the effects I use on photos, I play with saturation levels and curves.

I work part-time blogging here and I do freelance blogging.

Do you do something magical to your hair to get it looking so cute?

Ha! I loved this question! I might do a vlog on this soon because a lot of people asked this, but in the meantime...

After I shower, I use John Freida’s Heat Protectant, then blowdry my hair pretty straight. Then I use a flat iron to do my bangs and straighten the ends of my hair, because I can never manage to do that with my blowdryer. Then I use a curling iron, either 1 inch or 1.5 inch, depending on the look I want, and curl 2 inch sections. The key is to curl each piece in the opposite direction of the last, so they stay seperate! Then I use a little bit of John Freida Secret Weapon on the bottom few inches of my hair to get rid of fly-aways and give them a piece-y look.

Why did you name your blog Oh, Mishka?

My cousin Nic, who I adore, started calling me Mishka years and years ago. So when I started a blog and wanted to name it something that reflected who I am in a unique way, I remembered that nickname and went with it. For the record, my name is Michelle. But I still get about a million emails addressed to Mishka and I don’t mind one bit!

How old are you?

24. I'll be 25 on September 21.

Are you left-handed or right-handed?

I'm right-handed.

What are some of your favorite books?

I read The Hunger Games (as well as its sequels, Catching Fire and Mockingjay) last month and really loved that series. I also adore the Harry Potter series, Three Cups of Tea, Stones into Schools, Into Thin Air, No Shortcuts to the Top, Little Women, and Ender's Game.

Are you really short or is Jordan really tall?

Jordan is really tall, 6'4", in fact! And I'm 5'7", which I think is pretty average.
